Sheila Gray, Matthew Harper, and Scott Sample Join Rapidly-Expanding, Cloud-Based Law Firm “Disrupting” Conventional Law Firm Business Model
DALLAS, TX (April 24, 2017) — Underscoring its commitment to serving its Texas clients, Culhane Meadows, one of the fastest-growing, cloud-based national law firms has added three new partners to the Dallas, TX, office’s intellectual property, and litigation, and technology practices. Sheila Gray, Matthew Harper, and Scott Sample join 14 other partners in the firm’s rapidly expanding office.
Sheila Gray‘s (sgray@culhane.law) roots in intellectual property litigation run deep — both as an attorney in private practice and with governmental agencies. She previously served as an attorney in Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s intellectual property practice and was a member of on-location patent trial teams for the Northern District of California and the International Trade Commission (ITC). She has significant experience litigating intellectual property disputes involving large corporations in federal district court and the ITC. She earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Florida State University and her J.D. from Cornell Law School. Sheila is admitted to practice in Texas, Florida, California, and before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
Matthew Harper (mharper@culhane.law) is a first-chair patent litigator with more than 15 years of experience handling intellectual property litigation in federal courts across the U.S., as well as inter parties review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. He has first-chaired litigation in high-states patent and trademark disputes and frequently advises on trade secret and other complex commercial matters. To his Culhane Meadows’ clients, Matthew brings his experience at such multi-national and national law firms as Dentons, Thompson & Knight, McKool Smith, and Weil, Gotshal & Manges. He received his BS in Engineering Science from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX, and his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Texas and New York, and before courts in the U.S. Eastern District of Texas, the U.S. Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. Federal Circuit Court of Appeals (Washington, DC), the U.S. Northern District of Texas, and the U.S. Southern District of New York.
Dr. Scott Sample (ssample@culhane.law) is a registered patent attorney with more than 15 years of experience helping individual inventors, universities, start-ups, and Fortune 500 companies manage domestic and international patent and trademark prosecution, portfolio management, licensing, due diligence, and enforcement. He has significant experience drafting patent applications and implementing worldwide intellectual property strategies in the medical device, biotech, and chemical industries. Scott joins Culhane Meadows from Dentons US, and previously practiced at Gardere Wynn Sewell and Locke Lord Bissell & Lidell. He received his B.A. in Physiological Psychology, his Ph.D. in Neuroscience & Cell Biology, and, his J.D. from Washington University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Texas, and before the U.S. Eastern and Northern Districts of Texas, as well as the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
