Position Overview:
CM Law is actively seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Partner with significant experience handling state and federal employment matters. This position is ideal for a business-centric attorney with extensive employer-side representation. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge in key employment law areas and a solid track record of advising clients on complex employment-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:
– Advise clients on wage and hour laws, non-compete agreements, workplace safety, and rest break laws.
– Counsel on disability leave laws, workplace harassment, employee discrimination, and wrongful discharge matters.
– Draft and review employment policies and employee handbooks.
– Analyze employment-related issues in sophisticated M&A transactions, both domestic and some international.
– Represent employer-side clients in all employment matters (the firm does not represent individual employees).

Qualifications:
– A minimum of 8 years of experience in employment law matters.
– Proven experience handling complex employment issues in a business-centric law firm.
– Prior experience at an AmLaw 200 firm or comparable firm.
– A portable client base generating at least $250,000 annually, or a strong business plan demonstrating growth potential.
– Knowledge of employment law issues in the context of M&A transactions is a plus.
