Culhane Meadows partners Heather C. Haughian and Linda Priebe are attending the IAPP Global Privacy Summit this week in Washington, DC.
The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), a non-profit association funded in 2000, is the largest and most comprehensive global information privacy community and resource, helping practitioners develop and advance their careers and organizations manage and protect their data. The IAPP’s 2015 Global Privacy Summit brings together over 3,000 privacy professionals from around the globe to create a forum to share best practices, track trends, advance privacy management issues and provide education and guidance on opportunities in the field of information privacy.
The IAPP is responsible for developing and launching the first broad-based credentialing program in information privacy, the Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), and the Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), the first and only global certification in privacy program management. The CIPP and CIPM are the leading privacy certifications for thousands of professionals around the world who serve the data protection, information auditing, information security, legal compliance and/or risk management needs of their organizations. Ms. Haughian and two other attorneys at Culhane Meadows hold the prestigious designation of Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP).
In addition, the IAPP offers a full suite of educational and professional development services and holds annual conferences that are recognized internationally as the leading forums for the discussion and debate of issues related to privacy policy and practice.
