Matt Harper, a partner in our Dallas office, has been invited to speak at the Southern Methodist University Colloquia series on April 26 at 5:00 p.m. Matt will be talking to graduate-level computer science and engineering students about intellectual property law and the considerations a young professional must take into consideration as they enter the various fields of technology. The presentation, scheduled for an hour, will hit on topics that give an overview of all aspects of intellectual property, as well as practical considerations relating to employment contracts, invention disclosure records, works made for hire, and others issues related to IP that are not routinely covered in academia.
Matt focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation, due diligence, auditing and technology transfers. He believes his background is well-suited to serve the clients of Culhane Meadows, and is excited to give back to the community by working with SMU to put on this colloquia series. Matt has also recently extended his ties with SMU by serving on the Advisory Committee for Computer Science and Engineering.
