Lara A. Holzman

Lara Holzman practices primarily in the areas of trademark prosecution. Lara has extensive experience in managing large trademark portfolios on behalf of corporate clients in many different industries. She has handled opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and supervised similar actions in other jurisdictions. In addition, she has litigated trademark and trade dress infringement, dilution, unfair competition, false advertising, and anti-cybersquatting cases in federal court, as well as ICANN domain name disputes.

As part of her practice in obtaining, maintaining and defending her clients’ trademark rights, Lara has reviewed advertising copy, sent and responded to cease and desist letters, performed intellectual property audits, drafted and reviewed licenses, nondisclosure agreements, and other IP-related agreements, and advised clients in enforcement matters.

Lara received her J.D. from Columbia University, where she was a member of the Columbia-VLA Journal for Law & the Arts. She received her B.A. from Brown University in cognitive science.
