Biography
Sharon M. Lewonski is a partner in CM Law’s Atlanta office and Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group, primarily focusing her practice on matters concerning the financing, acquisition, development, management, leasing, restructuring, and disposition of income-generating and distressed real estate assets.
Ms. Lewonski represents a variety of stakeholders, including lenders, private equity investors, landowners and developers, throughout every aspect of the project life cycle and has closed deals on all sides of the negotiating table. She also assists clients with site selection, zoning compliance and land use due diligence, commercial lease, space licensing and contract negotiation, construction and property management matters, and leasing and asset portfolio management and restructuring. Ms. Lewonski possesses significant experience advising clients on matters concerning landlord and tenant disputes (RRH, medical office, commercial office, and light industrial); multi-family, mixed use and affordable/mixed income housing projects and programs; public-private partnership (PPP) structuring and implementation; drafting and negotiation of standard form construction contracts (i.e., AIA, Consensus, EJCDC); and federal, state and local laws concerning the use, development and sale of land.
