Tracy Green Landauer

Tracy Green Landauer is a partner in the firm’s New York office where she focuses her practice on private client and nonprofit issues. She provides personal estate planning, charitable gift planning and closely-held business succession planning to a broad range of individuals and families. In addition, Tracy provides ongoing and special issue representation to both new and established 501(c)(3) charitable organizations including private foundations (individual and corporate) and public charities whose missions involve the arts, health, education, community, and research. She also works with non-charitable tax-exempt organizations such as social welfare and trade organizations.

Tracy builds enduring client relationships by listening carefully and helping clients identify their priorities, clarify their goals, and develop plans tailored to their circumstances. She guides individuals through their estate-planning options and helps them determine which steps will provide the greatest peace of mind. She also advises start-up tax-exempt organizations on strategic decisions involving formation, tax exemption, board governance, policies, and organizational structure.

Both new and established non-profits work with Tracy to successfully navigate IRS and state reporting requirements and audits; U.S. tax compliance issues in domestic and international grant-making; unrelated business income, prohibited transactions and operational issues; and compliance with state fundraising/solicitation requirements for print and electronic media.

Tracy has authored several publications in the trusts and estates area. Thomson Reuters has included her on its annual “Super Lawyers” list in Estate & Probate Law since 2012. She has also earned recognition in the 2027 Edition of The Best Lawyers in America®
